A classic wax-style lamp and an RGB motion lamp can share an upright chamber, yet they create different product impressions. Buyers should compare the complete approved models instead of assuming that the lighting label describes the internal mechanism.

Classic wax-style products emphasize the familiar silhouette

A tapered chamber, metal-look base and contrasting liquid and moving-element colors create a recognizable decorative-lamp direction. The Metallic Red Lava Lamp and Aluminum Base Lava Lamp show two exterior approaches within this family.

RGB models make the light program part of the design

RGB motion lamps can use color-changing light, sculpted bases and contemporary body forms to create a more electronic or themed presentation. The Arch Base RGB Lava Lamp, Wavy RGB Lava Lamp and Tripod Rocket Lava Lamp illustrate different silhouettes.

Confirm what “RGB” changes on the exact product

RGB may describe the integrated light presentation, but it does not by itself define the chamber contents, motion method, power, controls or included remote. Ask for the specification and operating sample for the selected model. Do not transfer one RGB product’s claims to another body.

Build an assortment with a clear role for each model

A retailer can use a classic model as the familiar anchor and add RGB forms for visually stronger themes. Limit each variant to an understandable difference—finish, silhouette, light behavior or theme—so the range does not become a collection of near-identical SKUs.

Keep marketing language accurate

Describe the approved appearance, light program, control and intended use without making unverified claims about materials, runtime or internal operation. Product listing images, package copy and instructions should match the final sample.
