A light-up gift needs a clear reason to sit in a collection: a target customer, a price position, a package experience and a realistic customization route.
Choose the product role
Decide whether the item is a hero product, an add-on gift, a seasonal item, a branded giveaway or part of a multi-product collection. The intended role guides the product format, message, packaging and volume discussion.
Review the package as part of the product
Retail packaging communicates the product story, protects the item and affects the shelf or e-commerce presentation. Confirm the standard package first, then document any requested printed box, insert, label or gift-pack changes as a separate project requirement.
Use product evidence accurately
Match the product page, imagery and documentation to the actual configuration you intend to source. If a relevant test or compliance document exists, review its product and model scope rather than applying it broadly to unrelated products or changes.
Build a comparable supplier brief
For each shortlisted product, record the selected model, required changes, target quantity, market, packaging direction and launch timing. It produces a more useful comparison than collecting generic MOQs from unrelated configurations.
